What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractors treat the body not the symptoms.
The chiropractic approach can be described as taking a systemic look at the bigger picture of health and the human body. Our bodies are powerful machines capable of amazing feats of recovery and healing, and these feats are control by our brains, which are linked to our bodies through our spines and nervous systems.
By keeping this machine well-tuned and in the best possible shape, we as chiropractors believe that we can put the body in a position to do what it does best: heal. For this reason, we avoid drugs and medicine as primary treatment plans because they often simply treat symptoms rather than the actual root problem. That root problem could be your spinal alignment, it could be your nutrition, or it could be a factor of your lifestyle or your environment.
Without the big picture perspective that chiropractic care plans are built on, you might never discover the real cause of your pain and as a result never fully heal.
You might think of chiropractors as back-fixers and neck-crackers, but that is only one piece of the health puzzle. We treat you, the individual, with a care plan that is as unique as you are.
